Tuesday afternoon
After borrowing a tripod from the school, I took some exterior shots of Kate's Cottage (possibly influenced by the Walker Evans images from the night before.)

Then I went up to Vesper Hill Chapel, a nice spot on a promontory in Rockport. I sat and thought. I realized that I went digital at about the same time I started shooting more people. With people a photographer has to be fast, to catch the moment. But I got lazy and stopped deliberating about still images as well. I stopped using a tripod and didn't take time to compose a shot, even when the shot wasn't going to disappear in a split second.

I realized that in so many areas of my life I am rushed and I need to slow down, when I am able.
